Reckless growth PASSED by the PC.

Now it’s up for City Council Vote.

The Planning Commission voted 6-0 to support Option #2—an aggressive and risky zoning change that goes far beyond what the state requires. This includes adding steep fees to new homes over 2,500 sq ft and fast-tracking reduced parking requirements before state deadlines. These policies were not supported by residents or homebuilders.

Now it’s up to the Kirkland City Council to get this right.

At the June 3, 2025 meeting, the Council will decide whether to side with Option #2 or go back and adopt Option #1 which is the more balanced approach backed by both Kirkland residents and the Master Builders Association.

WRITE THEM AND TELL THEM WHAT THE RIGHT CHOICE IS.
