Current campaigns

Three letter campaigns are open right now. All three decisions are still in front of the City Council — which means an email still counts. Write them before the vote, not after.

The tool library — $100,000 and a $1-a-year city building — Council voted 5–2 on August 5 to negotiate a contract with a group that has raised no money. The contract still has to come back for approval.

Charging to visit our parks — waterfront and downtown parking — Council gave staff direction on July 7 but took no vote. Nothing is final, and no community engagement has happened yet.

Arete affordable housing agreement — The city is about to move forward to help with affordable housing in Kirkland which is admirable. But Ineffectual action helps no one.
